Our Story
Built to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity in the Irish trades.
TradeLink was founded by Joshua O'Connor after recognising how difficult it can be for apprentices and tradespeople to connect with the right employers across Ireland.
Like a lot of people who grew up around the trades, Joshua kept hearing the same two stories. Young people genuinely passionate about a trade — electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanics — were emailing dozens of companies and rarely getting a reply. On the other side, employers were turning down jobs because they couldn't find apprentices or qualified tradespeople to take the work on.
The talent was there. The work was there. The connection wasn't.
TradeLink started as a simple idea: build the kind of platform the Irish trades actually need — modern, mobile-first, no-nonsense, and free for the people doing the work. A place where an apprentice in Letterkenny and an employer in Dublin can find each other without filling out fifty job-board applications.
TradeLink is driven by a passion for helping people build careers in the trades and supporting the employers who keep Ireland building. That means treating candidates like people, not CVs, and treating employers like partners, not ad spend.
TradeLink's goal is simple — bridge the gap between talent and opportunity across Ireland.
